Plywood Option 1.

Plywood is a very popular subfloor which offers a more solid sounding floor which eliminates the accoustic effects of battons.

The hardwood flooring company reconmends its 12mm, 15mm and 18mm CD Plywood which is structural and suitable as a subfloor. The Hardwood Flooring Company understands that there are cheap plywood solutions out there but these cheap plywood boards have be delaminating and could cause your solid boards to become loose and eventually buckle up. Thats why The Hardwood Flooring Company uses EVAPLY, which has a guarantee against delamination and securing your floors for a lifetime.

What are the advantages of Evaply?

*Sustainability
Evaply is sourced from certified sustainable plantation forests. All forests are independently verified by the FSC. (Forest Stewardship Council)

*Grades and Why Evaply is a superior product
Evaply is marketed and sold as C/D Grade. The truth is that the majority of our product is a lot higher quality than C/D Grade but for the benefit of our customers it is all sold as C/D Grade.
Evaply is comparable to B/C Grade (2 grades higher)
Termite treated (H2) is also available in all three sizes.

Product Quality and Glue Type?
The glue used in plywood is one of the most critical factors to identifying whether the product will cause problems in the future.
Evaply uses an "A" Bond WBP (waterproof/boilproof) Glue.
This is superior glue used in the manufacture of Evaply and is usually recogisable by its black colour. This process utilises the phenol formaldehyde resin bonded under intense heat and pressure, the resulting bond complies with AS/NZ2754.1
This process enables Evaply to come with a full manufacturers guarantee against delamination.

Battens Option 2,

Battens are the other option which is by far the most cost affective. Battens are available in many sizes but mainly 18mm thick and placed at 450mm centers. This option is very effective and definately the cheapest.
