Order Quantity:
The Hardwood Flooring Company recommends for standard wastage, that you allow atleast 5% for select and standard grade timbers and 10% for feature grade timbers.


Profiles:
The Hardwood Flooring Company offers many different timbers with many different profiles. All 19mm thick timbers are machined milled in either a secret nail profile (up to 85mm wide to Australian Standards) and top nail profile for profiles above 85mm wide. All 19mm timbers are end matched for ease of installation. All 12mm Proflies are Toungue and Grooved with a secrect nail proflie. Most 12mm solid timbers (Overlay flooring) are machined dock square end profile However the prefinished collection of solid 10mm - 14mm overlay profiles are end matched for ease of installation. Random Lengths, please note that all lengths are random and no guarantee can be made for any averages that may sometimes occur.

Moisture Content:
The Hardwood Flooring Company mositure content is guaranteed between 9% and 14% and is suitable for most Australian climates as per AS 2796.1
Air consitioning can cause the timber floors to gap over continual use, if continual air conditioning is to be used within your home please contact a representative of The Hardwood Flooring Company and the details on proper acclimatisation for you timber can be explianed.

Timber Grades:

Select Grade:
Select grade is the higest grade with minimal flaws and features evident in the boards. Select grade has been hand selected to be of the highest quality and offers that sleek and stylish look for every home.

Standard & Better Grade:
Standard and better grade combines both standard and select together and normally consists of 75% Select Grade and 25% Standard grade.

Standard Grade:
Standard grade falls in between Select grade and Feature grade and offers natural imperfections within certain grading structures. Standard grade offers the sleek and stylish look of Select grade with the added character and charm of standard grade.

Feature Grade:
Feature grade is the last grade, this grade contains impectections such as gum veins, pin holes, knots and others which offers a truely stunning floor, the natural timber look comes alive in a feature board and offers the benefit of being a truely natural product.

Select + Feature grade:
This grade applies to certain prefinished timbers offered by The Hardwood Flooring Company and consists of 75% Select grade and 25% Feature grade. This grading offers customers to have the smart and sleek look of select whilst maintaing the real factor that only comes from a solid feature board.
